Dinosaurs Alive!

(First pic--Ethan on the Right w/ 'mom' shirt, Shonda's son Devin on the Left w/ Texas shirt.)

Shonda and I decided to take the boys to the Heard Museum in McKinney for the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit. http://www.heardmuseum.org/attractions/exhibits/dinosaurs.asp
It was really good. Basically life-ish size dinos in the bushes along a nature trail. They are attached to a motion sensor so that they move and make noise when you get close.

The first group we came to were 3 dinos ranging in size. Ethan and Devin were wary, but walked up close. I was holding Wyatt on my hip. When the dino moved and roared, though, the boys took off running in the other direction and I was suddenly wearing a Wyatt shaped backpack!

Ethan and Devin warmed up after a few displays. It would have helped had Shonda not yelped as if one of the dinos had bitten her when she pet it. Although, it was Really funny to watch the boys scream and run again! Wyatt never did really trust the whole situation, though. As you can tell from the last pics that were taken with the boys sitting on a dino.

Ethan really had fun and now tells anyone who will listen about the dinosaurs he saw and how big the T-rex was. He makes sure and explains, though, that they were not real. Only plastic. And they couldn't run after you because their feet were stuck down. I love that he noticed the feet! We told him they were plastic, but he reasoned out the feet thing all on his own!

It's 4am. My brain is still missing.

Quick update to the Aug 27th post.
When you use the conditioner first AGAIN, the answer is NOT to add shampoo to the mix also, hoping to end up with one of those "shampoo + conditioner all in one" type products. The shampoo negates the conditioner and you end up with poodle hair.

Still embarrassed

Just a quick one since I promised poop stories and have yet to deliver.
Ethan and I went shopping at Costco on Sunday. As normal, we get mid store and he has to go to the bathroom. So we fight our way through the crowds back to the front of the store, and park our cart. Where it was then so nicely confiscated by a Costco employee and all of the things that I had planned to buy were re shelved. HELLO---if you see a full cart parked outside of a store bathroom, it is probably not abandoned!
Any mother will tell you that a child's voice is the loudest when he is saying something that not everyone should hear. This is especially true in a public restroom where the acoustics for little boy revelations mid-poop, are truly incredible. This time Ethan announced to the entire bathroom with a unique combination of wonder, excitement, and amazement --- "Mommy! My poop has corn in it!"
